If you've got plans to be in Austin for the big shindig known as SXSW Interactive Festival and are working in the #connectedcar, connected home or devices space, we'd love to hang out. Vinli having being born and bred in Dallas, Texas, is but a few hours roll from Austin, so we'll be bringing a good chunk of the team to town.
Vinli will be running a shuttle sponsored by our good friends at RideScout, so keep an eye out for the Mercedes Sprinter shuttle which is equipped with WiFi courtesy of T-Mobile's 4G LTE network and Vinli.
First of all, we wanted to do something uniquely Texan and even more specifically, Austin-esque during SXSW. We reached out to friends in a race to build the most robust and scalable platform for #connectedcar apps, namely, Samsung, T-Mobile, Smart Things and Gemalto to put on a "Connected BBQ." In Texas, we don't use the word BBQ lightly! To us this means offering the finest –and certainly most authentic – Central Texas BBQ (namely brisket & sausage) along with signature drinks made with Wunder-Pilz Kombucha, and live music by Auroravore. We'd love to have you join us to talk shop – and more importantly enjoy a near perfect evening under the infamously big Texas sky. It's sure to be a party for the ages!
We'll also be showing a teaser for Vinli's upcoming pre-order campaign and demo'ing a host of Vinli apps. When you open the following page on your mobile, you can request a ride: http://ride.vin.li
A Special SX Fitness Program for the active or curious...
A recent inductee to the Barton tradition, Roman Zinchenko visiting from Kyiv, Ukraine with Chris George & Blake Burris.
We invite you to join us for a SX rejuvination program. Chris George and I will be running a mini-WOD (Crossfit speak for workout) along the banks of Barton Springs, the infamous spring-fed swimming area just a short walk, bike or Lyft from downtown. At 7:00AM sharp Sat/Sun/Monday mornings, we will meet inside the gate (free admission). Just bring your suit/goggles/towel and change of clothes for the day (showers/dressing area on-site). Post-workout (8AM), we'll board the Vinli shuttle back to downtown with a stop off at Juiceland for some hippie juice smoothies that will blow yo' mind!!
If we don't see you there, rest assured we'll be bringing the same caliber of Texas goodness to a city near you soon. Tweet us @VinliDev about your wildest ideas and plans at #ConnectedBBQ and #connectedcar.
And don't forget, when you experience Texas hospitality, don't be suspicious, it's legitimately genuine.
Ciao y'all!
